Obituary
It is with deep regret that we have to report the death of of our President, Colonel Derek Emley.
Derek was a well loved member of the band and his wisdom and wit will be missed by us all. He was a true gentleman and an example to us all.
The funeral will be held at St Gregory's Church, Marnhall at 2:30 pm on Tuesday 22nd December 2009.
The Pipe Major has suggested that if Band members are in agreement we will attend in uniform. If anyone has any questions please contact the Pipe Major by telephone or email.

A note of thanks.
Could you please pass on my thanks to the Band for a brilliant night. Really enjoyed it. I have sent a thank you to the Hotel for the standard of the meal and service. The Surrey Band don't do this, which is a shame as I think it is an important part of "bonding band members together

A note from the Mayor's Office
Dear Jerry, Ron, Iain, and all the Wessex Highlanders.
Thank you for making Elaine and me so welcome at your Burns Supper on saturday evening.
It is an honour to have the Wessex Highlanders based in Gillingham, adding to the high musical community we have. How much poorer our community would be without the dedication of volunteers and enthusiasts such as yourselves, who bring such happiness to our local communities.
We look forward to your concert in April, and to the Highlanders going from strength to strength.
